The first triplet of windows is about faith, epitomized in the story of Abraham, who lived about 1850 B.C. Why Abraham? First of all because he is an ancestor of Jesus. (Mt 1:1) Secondly, because as a model faith, he is considered as an ancestor of all who believe. (Rom 4:11, Gal 3:7) When he was called by God, he believed, left all, and was justified. (Gen 15:6) Furthermore, when his faith was tested by God, he remained obedient and continued to be justified by God throughout his life. (Jas 2:21-22, Rom 4:19-22)
