Schoenstatt Rosary:
Roberta Lockwood (446-3007)
This is a meeting of Mothers and children who will get together and pray the rosary every other week.
We will meet on Friday mornings at 9:30am in the home of Roberta Lockwood and other members of the group.
The meaning of Schoenstatt is this: Father Joseph Kentenich of Schoenstatt, Germany wanted to create a place of grace for the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was convinced in faith that Mary's mission and activity had not ended with her earthy life but that it continues to the end of time. As seen in the history of the Church, she likes to unfold her fruitful activity in places which she chooses, as places of grace, and to work through people who make themselves available to her as instruments. By bringing Mary into our homes through prayer of the rosary we can make this happen in our lives. We have a traveling shrine...a picture of Mary and Father Kentenich has said, "Take this picture of the Blessed Mother and give it a place of honor in your home. Then you home will become a little shrine in which the picture of grace will mediate many graces, create a holy family atmosphere, and form holy family members."
