We are a traditional Catholic church with a wide variety of activities for all ages. Our membership is made up of young families, families with teens, singles, adults with “empty nests”, couples with no children and “golden agers”.
We provide many opportunities for Mass – 5 Sunday Masses and 9 throughout the week with another one on Saturday morning at 8 am. We offer classes for Baptism, Marriage Preparation, becoming Catholic and we offer adult enrichment for those that are already Catholic.
We have a Catholic grade school on site for Kindergarten through 8th grade and Fr. Tolton High School, south of Columbia, currently offers classes for 9th, 10th & 11th graders with 12th coming in the fall of 2013. For those not in Catholic school, we offer Religious Education Classes for Pre-School through 6th grade and youth group for juniour high & high school students. Our Confirmation program is for High School Juniors or Seniors who have not been confirmed.
For adults, we currently offer small groups in a program called “Why Catholic?” as well as multiple bible studies and presentations on different aspects of our faith. We invite adults to serve the parish at Mass as Hospitality Ministers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Choir members, Children Liturgy of the Word Lectors and Offertory Ministers. We have a multitude of opportunities for you to volunteer outside of Mass, so just ask us.
Students in 5th grade and beyond are invited to train as altar servers. Check the bulletin for training dates.
Please explore our website. We have information for almost every aspect of our parish. We welcome you to town if you are new and ask that you check us out. If you have any questions, please call the office at 445-7915. Becky and Lisa will answer your questions or direct you to someone who can.
If you are already a member, we have a calendar of events, ministry schedules, information on the upcoming Mass changes and more information.
God Bless!
